Phenology: 11/8/11

I haven't done a phenology post in a while. Phenological events continue to go on in winter; they just become less picturesque. However, the two frosts I've seen so far this autumn weren't what's called killing frosts. Trees that don't change color before frost are blazing, but green plants are still growing and blossoming. On the road to and from the computer center I'm still picking daisies. And I still see the occasional insect...mostly fungus gnats and mosquitoes by this time of year...
