Michael Segers, a long-time Tintin fan, alerts readers that they'll enjoy the new Tintin movie more if they've read the appropriate books:
I remember seeing Tintin features in a kiddie magazine one of my primary school teachers used to share with us--was it Humpty Dumpty?--and NOT becoming a fan. This may be because, at seven, I had a wide vocabulary and a shallow, uninformed little mind. Anyway, as an adult I'd like to revisit the books, but as noted in the article they've become rare.
