State's Liability for State-Mandated Vaccines: HB824

Virginia's House Bill #824 would, if enacted, hold the state liable for any damage done by HPV vaccine if required for sixth grade girls. Full text:

This is another good bill that doesn't go far enough. The state needs to be liable for any damage done by any vaccine required by the state. Although some readers may feel that my own history of almost two years of inability to work, caused by a vaccination against a non-fatal disease I'd already had, shows how costly vaccines can be, in the vaccine damages community that's nothing. People have died. The state shouldn't demand that anyone be vaccinated against any non-fatal disease.

Flu shots for children? Most children are so resistant they don't even know it if they have flu! Most flu shots don't seem to have been terribly dangerous, but all vaccines against virus infections are easily contaminated, and there was the year flu shots were proven to have caused cancer. Is it really worth risking a child's life just to ensure that the child won't have to miss a day of school?

Furthermore, HPV is transmitted primarily by males, and steps to treat or prevent this disease should be given to males...and, since the virus is not transmitted by any activity that could legally take place at a public school, the schools should have nothing to do with HPV.
