Right. In principle I agree with Erica Ritz: a gun collector who has lost his eyesight, and has shot himself in the leg while drunk, shouldn't have his collection confiscated by the government.

In practice, I have to ask whether Steven Hopler is suicidal, or what else may be keeping him from handing the keys to his gun cabinets over to someone who is sober and can see. And if he were my brother, I think I might just steal the keys.
