Women Have a Way...So Why Didn't We?

Elizabeth Barrette celebrates those who worked so hard, so long, to ensure that women have a way to punch the misogynists out of office. The metaphor is slightly outdated in states like mine that no longer use punched cards (as we should), but it still works:

So why didn't we? Mormons are misogynists, are an old-boy network that based their organizational structure on a combination of two other organizations with impressive records of excluding women: the Freemasons and the Catholic Church. Granted. But Romney's claim to misogyny was far from exclusive. What else can you say about a party that ignores women's actual need to have the work we do rewarded with real money, and keeps on pretending that all we want or need is subsidized abortion.
