Would an Assault Weapons Ban Help?

(ANOTHER POST WITH PERKS!)

At Yahoo, Lylah M. Alphonse reports on the people who aren't falling for the shameless effort to blame the Newtown school murder/suicide on the gun itself:

Comments on the articles Yahoo selects for wallpaper tend to get buried fast, so although I would like to have been able to have received this list directly from the commenter known as JBA and pay him for his research, I think youall must read his short, sweet, and invaluable comment:

"Clinton enacted an assault weapons ban from 1994-2004, here's the results:
11/15/95 - Lynville, Tn School shooting
2/2/96 - Moses Lake, Wa School shooting
2/19/97 - Bethel, Ak School shooting
10/1/97 - Pearl, Ms School shooting
12/1/97 - West Paducah, Ky School shooting
4/24/98 - Edinboro, Pa School shooting
5/21/98 - Springfield, Or School shooting
4/20/99 - Columbine, Co School shooting
5/20/99 - Conyers, Ga School shooting
11/2/99 - Honolulu, Hi Office Shooting
12/26/00 - Wakefield, Ma Office Shooting
3/5/01 - Santee, Ca School Shooting
3/22/01 El Cajon, Ca School Shooting
1/16/02 Grundy, Va College Shooting
4/14/03 New Orleans, La School Shooting"

Facts, Gentle Readers. And let's not forget that during these years, despite its official gun ban, Washington remained very close to being "the nation's murder capital."

I think, without checking, it was the summer of 1999 when a teenaged girl suffering from Prozac Dementia jumped out of her car while stranded in traffic, dragged a young woman out of her car, and literally stomped the woman to death on the median strip--while her two-year-old watched. I think, without checking, it was the winter of 1998 when a bus driver with the same condition rammed a fully loaded city bus into a building. And let's not forget all the bombings back in virtually gun-free Ireland for, what, thirty years before that? When the violently insane are determined to kill people, they will kill people. They can kill more people with either bombs or motor vehicles than with guns.

How often was Prozac Dementia involved? Well, we know that most people are susceptible to the influence of their Significant Others...Arianna Huffington is no exception. While married to a Republican who opposed Clinton's gun ban, she was the one who documented the link between antidepressants and at least one shooter involved in each school shooting up to 1999. (At Columbine, one boy had Prozac Dementia and the other was just following his buddy's lead.) After divorcing Michael Huffington, coming under the influence of the guru known as John-Roger, and joining the Democrats, she's become strangely silent about the facts she herself did so much to publicize. The facts haven't changed. However, it's become difficult to track the incidence of Prozac Dementia, because after prescription medication was shown to be involved in more incidents than street drugs, pharmaceutical companies pressured the commercial media not to report this valuable detail.

If anybody out there can present courtroom-quality evidence of whether the other shooters were on legal or illegal drugs, this website will pay $50. The nation needs to know.
