Firearms Registration: O'Reilly Rebutted

After glancing at the text of Bill O'Reilly's interview with Letterman, I could almost give O'Reilly a big wet kiss (further explication under the heading "HB 1335"). Since he's lucky enough to be out of range I'll try to be content by steering readers to Brian Lilley's rebuttal:

And programs to "register," "track," and "monitor" your pets, children, or aged parents are similar...this administration may have no interest in tracking them down, but large-scale registration programs amount to putting temptation in the way of the morally impaired. Firearms may be the tip of an iceberg sufficient to sink the Titanic.

How different the world would be if Moses's parents had complied with any "suggestions" about "registering" Moses's birth.
