Although Elizabeth Barrette's recipe for elk loaf is not kosher, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, etc., it does offer some hope of compensation to the unfortunate people in Wise County, Virginia, and nearby parts of Kentucky, who have to live with elk.
