How to Act in a Crisis, or Not

Amidst the chaos at the end of the Boston Marathon, Blaze writers managed to find examples of a noble, inspiring way to act in a crisis:

Note that Carlos Arredondo doesn't look or sound the way older "conservative" types wanted their sons to grow up. Who cares? He acted the way they wanted their sons to act, anyway.

...And then there's a tacky, shameful way to act in a crisis:

Er, well...it's Barney Frank; what could we have expected?
