Senate Rejects U.N. Arms Trade Treaty

Congratulations to all whose senators voted to oppose another U.N. power grab. Patricia Evans reports (edited for clarity and spelling):

"
Senate Takes Stand Against U.N. Arms Trade Treaty

In the pre-dawn hours Saturday, the Senate approved the measure "To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty." Amendment Agreed to 53 YEAs to 46 NAYs

Our Virginia senators, Warner and Kaine voted against the Amendment. They have shown little regard for the US Constitution and its Bill of Rights in taking a position in opposition to the Second Amendment and the right of US citizens to 'keep and bear arms' by supporting the UN Arms Trade Treaty.

Fellow Virginians, please let them know what you think of their disregard for your rights, especially your God-given right to self defense.

The roll call vote is shown below. A quick scan will show how easily other Democrats would sacrifice your rights on their altar of power.

Gentle Readers, this web site apologizes for the behavior of our Senators. If you search this site, you will find that each of them has contributed a post that makes it clear that they are acting according to the quasi-religious faith in socialism many Americans have absorbed throughout their lives...and not, as the Constitution provides, according to the will of the majority of Virginia voters. This is an understandable flaw many elected officials share. It does not make them bad people. It does, if it can't be corrected, make them unfit to hold office in a constitutional democracy.
