Link Log for April 14

At least this one's short! Topics: Politics, Veterans, Why Gate City Needs to Abandon Its Moribund Public Library Computer Center and Invest in a Private Computer Center That Could Actually Work.

Politics

"The deck is stacked in favor of those already on top," said the former First Lady, former Secretary of State, making her bid for President. She went on to say, "There's something wrong with that." Hmm. No, she did not finish the thought with, "And that's why I'm asking you to vote for this 36-year-old single mother whose ability to juggle raising four children with substitute-teaching and delivering pizzas shows superb organizational skills, under whom I hope to serve as an unpaid consultant."

Veterans

If this one wants a fellow animal lover to talk him out of committing suicide, he should e-mail salolianigodagewi @ yahoo and I'll send him my phone number. Unfortunately I'm not funded to do anything more useful than that...but I can read numbers out of the Florida telephone directory as well as any of the volunteers at an overfunded crisis hotline could, and better than some.

Meanwhile, here's a fellow veteran (and cancer survivor) whose blog he might care to read.

Why Gate City Needs to Defund Its Moribund Public Library Computer Center and Invest in a Private Computer Center That Could Actually Work

Oh, masses of reasons of course...the latest one being that the computer on which I wrote the first draft of this Link Log, and saved it repeatedly, failed to publish it or even save the draft. Gates Foundation computers reek.
