Animals

+Ruth Cox has moved, I'm glad to learn, but while in Florida she caught some nice butterfly pictures:

Crafts

+Marsha Cooper has dedicated sales from her Etsy shop to a needy child she's sponsoring. Here's a link:

...and guess what? While I was posting the link, the bag sold. Right. Here's the link you need to find those of Marsha Cooper's crafts that are still available, if you want to help the kid.

Dolls

Cynthia Sylvestermouse has a photo-enhanced list of the official, commercial Barbie dolls that go with Mattel's and Disney's versions of fairy tales:

For those who didn't know, Gena Greene dresses Barbie-type dolls to match other storybooks; you can order a recycled doll, in good condition, to go with your favorite picture book via salolianigodagewi @ yahoo.com.

Politics

If it can be taxed, it will:

Even though Presbyterians' belief in "progressive revelation" may allow them to embrace same-sex "marriage," the Bible warns everybody that God expects people to defend the rights of widows. Which means disentangling any legal or civil rights from our definition of marriage, and making those rights available to unmarried people on equal terms. Basically common sense, people. Half of those who have been married will eventually be widowed.

Writing

Jerry Jenkins would know...

Shopping

My own, but it qualifies as "news" that last week I actually found a competent cashier in the Wal-Mart in Kingsport.
