Virginia House Bill #823 would, if enacted, modify existing legislation by limiting the job description of a "planning commission." Full text:

As a voter who's grown up in a county that has a "regional planning commission" for three contiguous counties and one city, I like this bill. I think it could go further. I've never noticed much benefit to the taxpayer in having a "regional planning commission." We could do without it altogether.
