Why Keep Street Addresses Off Drivers' Licenses? HB106

For many years, Virginia law has recognized that drivers' licenses and other state identification documents don't need to show anyone's physical address, meaning that, if an evildoer happens to get a look at your driver's license, s/he can't stalk you to your home.

For reasons unknown, Delegate Loupassi wants to make it easier for evildoers to stalk, harass, and threaten Virginia residents. Check out House Bill #106:

A more useful bill, which I hope someone will introduce, would ban the display of a complete physical address on any driver's license. Remember, all U.S. citizens have already been threatened by several men who are known to be armed and dangerous, with Al-Qaeda at the top of the list. If U.S. citizens are so oldfashioned, so reckless, or so poor that they don't maintain a post office box, then their drivers' licenses should show only the name of the street without a building number.
