Buzz Bissinger explains why it's becoming just plain wrong to use the word "liberal" to refer to left-wingers:

Er-herm. It's incongruous for Bissinger to call rude, vulgar, illiterate words "savaging" at the same time that a fellow writer is physically in critical condition after an attempted murder. American left-wingers are, by and large, merely obnoxious. But they're definitely not "liberal." Liberal means that you want to give everyone a fair hearing, whether you like them or not, agree with them or not, disagree with 90% of what they've said and still want to quote one of their lines...or not.
This web site is liberal. Buzz Bissinger's hecklers are merely leftist. And tacky.
