Web Log for 7.9-10.25

Is it only guilt that makes the computer's list of what youall are reading look like a reproach? No, I'm not "Losing Track of Time," secluding myself like "The Bagworm," or "Gone." I merely got stuck in between a serious job and a siesta, and failed to post the Petfinder photos on time. They should be up by now.

Health News

Did the COVID vaccine drive people crazy? Apparently psychotic conditions are indeed among the possible side effects.

Were these hastily developed, still experimental vaccines, almost always delivered at least one mutation behind the virus, as multifarious as glyphosate? Yes. And there's a reason for that--they were contaminated with glyphosate. Many vaccines are.

Storm Chantal

It wasn't quite a hurricane. Dear Lord, can you imagine what it would have done if it had become a full-sized hurricane? North Carolina's had major setbacks from the edge of the storm, too, and we--once again--we get rain.

Kristi Noem fed the "conservative" media some good sound bites.

I would like to see more "conservatives" acting it out. An e-friend posted drone footage of what may not be exactly his town, he's caught enough hate online to be wary about naming his town, but he admitted it's within walking distance. Roofs of houses showing above water where neighbors' houses were completely covered. He's not posting about how many townsfolk are staying on his so-far-lucky Texas spread; a Virginia gentleman wouldn't post about that either. But although nobody minds paying taxes to fund disaster relief, the ultimate conservative statement would be for Texans to tell the federal government, "Save your aid money for those who need it. We Take Care of Our Own."

Left-wing goons trying to blame Trump for the flood of the century? Readers could be writing to sponsors, editors, radio and TV managers, recommending some immediate replacement. You can't stop a hurricane by throwing money at it. Nor even an early-summer storm that's not quite reached hurricane size.

George...has "can-carrier" become your identity by now? You could stop.

Right-wingers counter-accuse the National Wildlife Service. This web site takes no sides but does observe that that was one of the government offices that were actively hostile to efficiency, back in the Bush administration.
