Book Review: Witch Way After Forty

Title: Witch Way After Forty

Author: Jennifer L. Hart

Date:  2021

Publisher: Elements Unleashed

Quote: "If I'm so awful, why not just go file for divorce like a decent human being?"

Alys Silver walked in and found her husband in bed with another woman. He's not much loss; he's wasting a lot of her money on drugs while she's running a business with an attractive contractor. But he's hired an evil lawyer to squeeze every possible drop out of her.

Her sister Maeve is happily married with two children and two dogs...and a medical condition she has yet to tell them about.

Her other sister Siobhan is single and attracted to Alys's disgusting ex's lawyer.

And their Aunt Jess has just left them all a house, which Alys intends to move into...with a drink called "empowerment brew" waiting for them.

When they drink it, each of them develops a magical talent. Now they have to hide from the Dark Fae who hunt novice witches and consume their powers.

This is a full-length novel with all the trimmings. I laughed out loud more than once.
