Variation on an Old Theme, with Army Language

Oh dear...we used to have a house rule that "Army language" was reserved for those who'd been in the Army. Which I've not. This poem about the badness of war, in et per se any and all war, is definitely an adult concept; it elaborates on a cliche; and the cliche definitely qualifies as Army language. But isn't that the appropriate vocabulary to use when writing about war?

Hug a veteran today. They deserve it. They have been through what you remember General Sherman said war was.
