Title: Let the Purring Begin

Quote: "I know it might be a bad decision, but I can feel myself getting weaker day by day as I don't get enough nourishment."
Sapphire knows she and her kittens can benefit from being pets, but can she love and trust another human after having been dumped by one?
Of course she can. This is not a novel. There is no suspense. This is a step-by-step guide to rescuing stray cats, in story form. As Sapphire narrates how Summer, her new human, did things right or learned to do them right another time, we learn how to search for former owners, how and why to bathe a stray cat, how to take the cat to the vet, how to build a "catio" if you insist on living in a place where a cat's in great danger outdoors, how to introduce new animals and people, a few of the many things that go wrong when half-starved alley cats give birth to live kittens, and more.
Samantha Scaredycat was the only cat I've ever seen who was as timid as Sapphire is, and she certainly was not as sweet. Most stray cats are confident, sometimes overconfident, about being alone outdoors. Still, she and Summer have much to teach anyone who is rescuing a stray cat, or thinking about it.
