Is it really about the imported wood? (Couldn't they make good guitars without ebony?) Or is it about the fact that, while other guitar manufacturers also use ebony, Gibson doesn't force all employees to join a labor union?
This blog is pro-union. This blog is pro-school. This blog is even pro-health-care (although I wouldn't go so far as to say pro-insurance). However, first and foremost, this blog is pro-choice. When workers are forced to join a union, then the union becomes merely another layer of management that eats up profits and fails to represent the workers' actual concerns.
