It was 6:00 a.m., before daylight and before the officers were fully awake. If they'd knocked on the door and identified themselves as police, they might have noticed that Judy Sanchez and her three-year-old weren't the druggies they were supposed to be raiding. However--due, as a policeman mentions in a comment on Sam Rolley's article, to fear that the druggies would have been armed and ready to kill any officers who had duly identified themselves--Massachusetts' Finest chose to break down the door with a chain saw.
