Abortion Forced or Coerced: SB277

Virginia Senate Bill #277 will, if (I want to say WHEN) enacted, criminalize any attempt to subject a woman to an abortion when that is not her choice. Badly needed. Long overdue. Full text:

And I get the honor and privilege of gloating because my State Senator proposed this one in, and got it through, the State Senate. This is what we pay these people for! Thank you, State Senator Bill Carrico.

At the moment SB277 is still subject to another vote by the subcommittee for Criminal Justice, which consists of Delegates Bell, Robert B., Albo, Cline, Gilbert, Miller, Villanueva, Morris, Watts, and Herring. I pasted this list in from lis.virginia.gov, and from here it looks as if the list contains working links to each of these Delegates. If one of them is yours, you should be able to use this link to e-mail your representative any further thoughts or feelings about young women's right to make their own choice to protect their own life.

All I can do at this point is share the Good News.
