Quickie Book Review: Don't Call Me Doctor

I just reviewed Jack Stallard's Don't Call Me Doctor on Goodreads:

Here's the review:

"
This is the way my town likes to see itself: stereotype 1930s memories, some things nostalgically preserved and others gladly discarded, give way to travel, education, professional work, and finally back to the old home place where the good ol' boys organize a band and sing old songs in nursing homes. Jack and Leonard Stallard are real. You can chat with them and their fellow "pickers" at the Pickin' Parlor. Stallard's stories in this book are the final draft of the local news column he wrote for the weekly paper for years. If I asked him to change anything, it'd be to put in more old songs!
