Status update: first post-book poem written. Serena's kitten, sixteen days old, is just starting to unfold its ears and trying to climb out of its nest. Whatever it's going to be, it will not be a normal cat.

Activism
Greta Thunberg scores zero for style. If you take one side of an issue, in public, you should have the fortitude to hear the other side out. If they're wrong, you can put up better informed opposition. If they're right...well...I'm not sure that modern warfare, in which non-combatants are routinely killed, is ever right, but something has to be done about ghouls who videotape themselves committing rape and murder while noncombatants are celebrating religious holidays in their own homes. And yes, anyone defending the kind of terrorism Hamas revelled in should be required to watch it.
