Well, it could be easier to read, but it is easier to read than the auto-sync version...All images are fair use. No attempt has been made to trace them. They're being used to promote their apparent owners' work, not to exploit it.

...I'm still totally chill with it. Used to type for use of printer/Internet, pay per use or cook or clean for use of washer/dryer. Now I have some of the stuff others might share instead of buying, too.
Some interesting thoughts here. PloughCast 44: Carl Trueman and Alastair Roberts – Freedom, Belonging, and Begetting

Like the aside... "I'll have to ask my husband" COULD come from a woman with a limited life. Or from one who's successful, independent, & still thrilled to have married an expert she consults. Been there & I'm glad for SBR. What a great feeling!

More relevant to more of us...Is "Christian" perceived as +, -, or =? In the US generally, in real life, I think we're still a majority. It's still a +. In cyberspace, the more sites heed the Party of Censorship, the more it becomes a -.
1
How does this thought make Christians view the Internet, and what do we do about it? Quit the Internet, or build more Christian-friendly web sites...or both, different days?
And another one. "If U look out window & see a little old lady being beaten & don't feel something, U R a psychopath..." PloughCast 44

Well I'm a LOL, I'm being beaten up--frequently, & to the point of losing blood--by glyphosate poisoning, & if others feel anything they're being VERY quiet about it. I do realize Twitter #censorship has much to do with this.
1
Some want to say it's not the glyphosate. Fine. Test it. Have ColoGuard samples tested for correlation between glyphosate & blood. I'm a celiac. I tested unsprayed wheat. I believe correlation between glyphosate & blood is 100%.
1
But run the tests, & don't just say "It can't be the glyphosate bc the high-paying corporate sponsors say it's not allowed to be the glyphosate." Science is not the property of a corporation.
1
And then, y'know, Black lives matter & all that. Well, so do Irish lives matter. (The celiac gene is found in other countries but seems to be proof of Irish ancestry.) We want justice too. I don't want to destroy Bayer. I want to OWN Bayer.
& wouldn't it be a pity & a shame if
#censorship kept my Tweeps from replying to today's tweets, thereby forcing them to be printed & mailed. I wd hate to have to stoop to mass mailing or phone soliciting.

Nevertheless, the majority of humankind don't use the Internet, much less
, & we do have to reach them...
Double-checking my last
receipt, I find I somehow bought only 8 of 10 items @ $2.50 that I took to check out. Brought home only 8, but paid for only 8. No idea what happened to the other 2 I handed to Chatty McYapalot.

Otoh, while focussed on chatter rather than addition, Chatty scanned 3 items @ $10, added 1 wrongly, subtracted 2, thus charged me $10 for a $30 purchase. I saw that. If she hadn't been playing the chatter-cheat game, I would have said something.
1
When a storekeeper is businesslike & tries to add up purchases accurately, taking advantage of a mistake seems like stealing.
1
When a cashier is an extrovert social bully that keeps yapping, even in absence of eye contact, taking advantage of a mistake seems like scoring a point... even tho I'd have a lot to say if mistake were in Chatty's favor.
1
How many ppl quietly feel this way? Should stores look for quiet, conscientious, ethical cashiers who are comfortable speaking only when spoken to, & reassign Chatty McYapalot to night cleaning position?
1
A good rule: "While scanning purchases, cashiers' 'conversation' shd be limited to ONLY confirming that they're adding how many of what, at what price, customers intended to buy. NO CHATTER."
Prayers that they can leave this world efficiently, wo pain, with respect due to anyone who's reached age 95. The Original Steel Magnolia was a class act for a long time.
Unsettling, isn't it? The images we remember them by come from so long ago...

Former First Lady Carter has dementia & President Carter is in hospice care. My love and thoughts are with the Carter Family.
Both Carters certainly showed us how to do retirement, if one must retire at all.

In 2019, President Jimmy Carter, the oldest living former president in US history, at age 95, built Habitat for Humanity homes in Nashville. President Carter is 98 years old and he represents the best of humanity.

I love this idea regarding communal sharing appliances/tools that you might use, at most, for an hour a week. More of this, please
