A quick offering to the link-up at Poets & Storytellers United...
With particular delight in this previously posted poem:
On What Should Have Been Done Before the Birth of All Those Unwanted Beagles We Were Talking About This Morning
Some prefer "altered" but I like to
call a spayed a spayed.
I know. Grooooaaannnn! Please scroll down to see the beaglets. Three faces represent three litters of a total of fourteen beagle pups. The New York page alone shows almost four hundred.
Here is a bonus beagle: Paz from Lenoir, North Carolina. Sadly, this pretty puppy seems to have fallen into the hands of control freaks...or maybe a "foster family" who really like her? If you don't want to jump through all of their hoops, no worries, as they mention, dozens of other puppies need homes.
Happy. Smiling. Groooaaaannnn coming from Bend Oregon. Love your play on that cliche!!
ReplyDeleteThank you; I liked yours too!
DeleteI'm smiling, not sure why. Grooooaaannnn!
ReplyDelete..
i'm glad you're smilling! Thank you for telling me.
DeleteI hope the puppies will find their fur-ever home with loving and responsible humans.
ReplyDeleteI hope people share their pictures everywhere and find those humans! Thank you for visiting.
DeleteOh! The expectant look of the Beagle. My heart goes out to him/her
ReplyDeleteThe thing about doing those weekly pet photo contests is that there are dozens, if not hundreds, like that. I hope more than only the ones whose pictures I've picked can find homes. Sharing the pictures helps! Thank you for visiting.
DeleteI always enjoy a play on words - let alone clichés. :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you! So do I.
DeleteI just happened upon your 'burning trash in wet weather' post, and the maggots made me remember a similar offering of mine with its equally wormy tale HERE .Thanks for the smile you gave me! ♥
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you smiled!
DeleteYour tone made me grin. Poor pups, though. I hope they find their humans... soon.
ReplyDeleteI"m glad you grinned...and I hope lots of people share the puppy pictures!
DeleteBig smile here, Priscilla!
