Babette Josephs Refuses to Pledge Allegiance

In Pennsylvania, state representative Babette Josephs has refused to lead the rest of her state legislature in pledging allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. Billy Hallowell reports:

We are starting to wonder about the stories we've been getting from Pennsylvania lately. "Penn's Peaceful Woodlands" was meant to be the home of nice, hardworking farmers, crafters, and laborers, plus a few good schools, and mostly it's been that. It has also been the scene of fierce conflicts between laborers and their management. But, weirdness? Does this weirdness have anything to do with fracking? What are people like Josephs, and like the unnamed teacher who verbally molested a 16-year-old Republican in yesterday's weird news story, drinking...in their water?
