Anyway, from the office of U.S. Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA):
"
For more than four years, Congress has failed to act on bipartisan immigration reform. As recently as Friday night, Leader McConnell refused to commit to taking up a bill to protect Dreamers with any urgency. Yesterday, there was a breakthrough after pressure from the bipartisan group of Senators I was working with to reopen the government. Republican leadership finally agreed to bring bipartisan legislation to protect Dreamers to the floor in the next three weeks, and both parties - as well as the American public - will hold them to it.
We also reauthorized the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) that tens of thousands of Virginians rely on, gave peace of mind to servicemembers and federal employees that their paychecks will arrive on time, and committed to continuing to work on other important priorities like funding for our military, education, and other critical health care programs. I hope you'll keep up your energetic activism as we work to build support in Congress for passage of a permanent fix to protect these incredible young Dreamers and continue working together on these issues of importance to Virginians.

" [that signature graphic of his that Blogspot doesn't like]P.S.: I support reauthorizing CHIP only for as long as it takes to weed the insurance gambling game out of the system, altogether, for children's medical care. I urge my elected officials to work harder on getting that done this year! Anyone trying to make a profit, as a third party, off children with major injuries or rare life-threatening diseases...at the minimum, should be stripped of all rights to handle money. That's not a thing a real human being would ever even want to do.
