New Book Review: Love in Time for Christmas

Title: Love in Time for Christmas

Author: Katie O'Connor

Date: 2023

Publisher: Snarky Heart

Quote: "With only four days until Christmas, there was something in the air that felt magical."

And so it was. Leaping back through the slush to avoid one of those people who try to drive in snow, Trudy spills her coffee on a man who just happens to be her ex-boyfriend. He dumped her, but he's sorry and wants to come back. Will his gift of gab win her over? Will she make another commitment to him?

This is the basic wish-fulfillment dream of every dump-ee on Earth. It might be healthier to dwell on making the dumper suffer rather than dream of reconciliation, but this is the version for dump-ees who still believe reconciliation is possible. Sometimes it is; sometimes lovers quarrel for no discernible reason except the pleasure of making up. Trudy and Maxim sound as if their problem was more substantial than that, but who knows? Good for some delicious fantasies, anyway. The key is to read through to the end. This reconciliation was brought to you by Santa Claus, and at the end of the book he disappears.
