New Christian Book Review: Starry Night

In order to read this book as the author intended you need to start reading on the first of December. It would have been nice if I'd downloaded it before the thirtieth of November, but I didn't. As a result, in order to review this book in time for youall to find it and download it on Book Funnel, I'm going to have to feature a specifically Christian book on a Friday. I usually save them for Sundays, and I apologize to non-Christian readers. No religious labels exclude anybody from the non-book post, just below, about donating food to charitable organizations.

Title: Starry Night

Author: Kim Griffin

Date: 2023

Publisher: Kim Griffin

ISBN: 979-8-9884-389-2-2

Quote: "Throughout this book we will look at Christ in scripture."

Though the cover describes it as a devotional, Starry Night is not the standard 300 words of nice thoughts per day. It's a thorough explanation of what Christians believe and why. Scripture passages are long and challenging, considering what Christians believe about Christ.

If you're looking for a quick pleasant thought to reflect on for five minutes before you plunge back into the hustle and bustle of your life, Starry Night is not for you.

If you're a typical American Christian who grew up identifying as Christian, but you're not sure why or what that means, and you would like to examine your beliefs about God, Starry Night is for you.

The apostle Paul compared other evangelists' teaching to milk for babies, and some of his letters as solid food for adults. Starry Night is solid food. It's a longer, deeper, more complex read than you'd expect to find free of charge on the Internet. But here it is. It deserves an expensive hardcover edition, and will probably get one, but it's a free gift to the Internet community.
