Title: Lattes and Larceny

Author: Nola Robertson

Date: 2021

ISBN: 978-1-953213-25-9

Quote: "[A]round the corner of the deck, I spotted the back end of a small dog."

Office politics caused Brinley to be transferred to Minneapolis. Brinley didn't want to go, and when this novelette begins she's taking a short vacation in Florida with her Aunt Delia. Delia and her friends enjoy solving fictional mysteries.

When Brinley spots the dog, her life changes. The dog is calling attention to itself because it's found a duffel bag that shouldn't be under the deck. Delia and friends insist on tracing the bag to its owner, and Brinley gets involved. The dog seems to have no other human companions and to have adopted Brinley on the first day. There is going to be a series of full-length mystery novels about Brinley and the retirees.

Frivolous fictional froth. If you enjoy mysteries that feature coffee shops and dear, determined old ladies, you'll want the series.
