It's normal that more pets will remain unadopted from posts later in the year, but still it 's an unpleasant surprise that Old George remains unadopted:
His web page: https://www.petfinder.com/cat/george-60879712/ny/new-york/anjellicle-cats-rescue-ny488/
George is FIV-positive. This presents no danger to humans but means he should probably be an indoor cat. He's exceptional--cats are usually born with FIV, and George is believed to hav elived with it for more than ten years. Of course, they could be wrong about his age. George is said to be a friendly, lovable cat who likes to play or snuggle.
Paisley and her kittens may have been adopted.
Sprout in Atlanta is still looking for a home.
Sometimes gray tabby cats languish in shelters because they look so "ordinary." That's the only possible explanation. They say Sprout has no medical or behavioral problems and would make a good pet.
And Cliff, the Great Dane in New York, is also still looking for a home.
He's said to be a friendly Great Dane with, perhaps, a mischievous sense of humor--they say he likes to lean up against people.
We are four-fifths of the way through the year, Gentle Readers. Why not jump ahead and give some of the other pets we met in the last quarter of 2023 an advance boost on social media, so the photo contests can resume with all new pictures?\
