Web Log for 11.6.23

Status Update

I found two links yesterday. You really needed one of them earlier this morning.

Health News

Activists working on health-related issues, isn't it time we had some good news?! The count is in. COVID vax mandates yielded a record crop of State laws limiting vaccine mandates and defending freedom of choice.

Again, we are not "anti-vaccines." We are anti-mandates. There are individuals who are at special risk from certain diseases, and individuals who are at special risk from vaccines, or from medications or other anti-disease measures--and everyone deserves to be able to trust a doctor to tell them honestly whether they're in either category, rather than trying to push the same treatment on everybody.

Anyway, good activists commend and congratulate our State legislators when the good bills succeed. This article doesn't go into details about whom you may want to commend for what, but let's just say that most Virginians have reason to commend our people in Richmond. (And some people may want to check their state legislators' records before they VOTE TODAY.)

Music

Zitherist Wu Fei plucks an African instrument called a valiha or "tube zither." It's made from bamboo and has a much softer sound than wood zithers.
