Title: All I Want for Christmas Is a Happy Haloween
Author: Misha Crews
Date: 2016
Publisher: Misha Crews
Quote: "[T]he other parents hadn't dressed up...Morgan, herself, was wearing a...pumpkin costume...approximately the size of a Mini Cooper."
Single mother Morgan is old enough to know that people do not actually die of embarrassment. That's a good thing, because her embarrassment just keeps getting worse and worse with each of the new revelations of the community association story that comes out at the Halloween party.
It's a sweet wholesome romance, so you know how it will end. The question is whether you believe the whole story could play out during the time of one neighborhood party. Meh. It ought to resolve itself as quickly and nicely as it does, anyway.
Amazon wouldn't list a story as short as this one as a separate e-book. Book Funnel would, and does. If you're looking for a short, sweet, happy story with comic scenes in it, this one's for you. It'll probably be printed in a hardcover anthology some day, but you're reading this online so why wait?
