Publisher; Mark Bartrick

ISBN: 9781916596887

Length: 72 pages

Quote: "Everyone should learn how to negotiate."

And here is a summary of what the author has learned from years of studying older books on the subject, written so tersely you could print it to a size you could fold and carry in a pocket.

There are drawbacks to this presentation of what are agreed to be the essential skills of negotiation. There's no detailed exploration of how you might go about building rapport and showing respect and all that. Those skills are learned, but this e-book doesn't even suggest a book (or a live class) that might help you learn them.

There's also no guarantee that studying these skills and techniques, even using them in some situations, will help you apply them or even create an opportunity to apply them in other situations.(If you have good negotiation skills, or communication skills generally, a certain type of manager wanted you not to be hired and will do everything person can to get you to quit or be fired.)

However, if you think brevity is the basis of good writing, you will like this book. It's like the curriculum notes for a four-credit-hour college course. Possibly Bartrick would be available to teach that course.
