This novelette promises a dark and twisting thriller but, although Emma is in danger, not much twisting goes on beyond the twisted mind of one of the two baddies. It's a nice clean murder mystery, not cozy but with no sex and the minimum of foul language, unlikely to embarrass parents if young children find it. If college-aged offspring find it, the embarrassment about a parent's low taste may linger until they mature enough to let it rest.
