Book Review: Opposites Attract

Title: Opposites Attract

Author: Camilla Isley

Date: 2020

Publisher: Pink Bloom

Quote: "[Y]ou cut in front of me on the subway this morning, making me miss the train. Then you ate the last donut at Starbuck's. And now you're stealing my dream office."

Vivian annoys Lucas when they meet, and it's mutual...but this is a romantic comedy, so you know where it will end. To preserve some suspense I will not discuss the roles of children and animals in bringing the couple together, but I will mention that they agree on a bet to go out on dates arranged for them by a matchmaking service, and the function of these dates is to make them look better to each other.

This is a "clean" romance, no graphic description of sex, with a free extra chapter for those who want the details of what the couple do after confessing that they're "in love." I didn't download it but it's long enough that Amazon accepted it as a separate "book." Long enough to print as a thin paperback with largish type.

It's Camilla Isley so you know the comedy will be believable and chortle-inducing. There is no overt discussion of Christianity in the book; one of Lucas's never-to-be-repeated dates is with a self-identified Witch, but he doesn't say what his religion is.
