Tim Kaine on Access to Birth Control

This web site has very mixed feelings about birth control paraphernalia. This web site has a contractual obligation not to discuss better techniques. Meh...better to waste money than to bring an unwanted baby into this world (or, worse yet, abort one), but still...Here's an update from U.S. Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA):

"
Recently I joined Democratic colleagues to introduce the Access to Birth Control (ABC) Act, a bill that would ensure any woman with a valid prescription is not denied or intimidated when requesting birth control or emergency contraception at pharmacies. According to the National Women’s Law Center, at least 24 states across the country – including Virginia – have reported incidents where pharmacists have refused to fill prescriptions for birth control or provide emergency contraception to individuals who do not require a prescription.
No woman’s access to contraception should be denied at the pharmacy counter after she has made a decision with her doctor. I’m proud to cosponsor this important piece of legislation that will defend the freedom of women’s health care choices.
Sincerely,
" [signature graphic: Tim Kaine]
