Title: The Chosen One

Author: Josie Caporello

Date: 2020

Publisher: Josie Caporello

Quote: "She waited, but the gladiator didn't look up."

Attention all writers: If your New Year's Resolutions did not include "I will not advertise my books by mailing out isolated chapters as 'e-books' for review," they should have done. Add that to your list now.

The Chosen One is probably a novel that has some sort of redeeming social value, if only as a romance, but that's hard to judge since what I have is an isolate chapter. In this chapter two Roman slaves, a blonde called Astrid and an African gladiator called Leza, kiss because Leza has been assigned to prepare Astrid for her future duties as a prostitute.

It's soft porn, since all they do is kiss and talk about doing more later, but what I received in the e-mail is strictly porn. That's not all bad. If you believe your marriage will benefit from your meeting your husband at the door while thinking about a young woman--more likely a teenaged girl--interpreting her first kiss as a lesson in desire, this is probably the book for you.
