Virginia House Bill #707 would, if enacted, criminalize protest demonstrations at funerals:
http://lis.virginia.gov/cgi-bin/legp604.exe?121+ful+HB707
Protest demonstrations at funerals are cheap, cowardly, tacky, vulgar, despicable, etc., but are they a crime? Would the mere existence of this bill in the law discourage public displays of individual tackiness at funerals? Or, since incurring misdemeanor charges is a point of pride among some activist types, would the existence of this bill actually encourage funeral protests? I don't claim to know.
