Has This Blog Been Hijacked?

Readers, I need your help. Are you seeing isolated words, like "coupons," "upgrades," "car," etc., highlighted in posts on this blog? Are you seeing small ads pop up if your cursor rests on these words?

If so, I apologize. I made the horrible mistake of clicking on a "free gift cards" offer. No free gift cards have been received. Nor has any contract to pay us for using this site for these ads appeared in our e-mail. Instead, I'm seeing "Text Enhance" pop-ups all over my web site...and I don't like it.

Please be careful NOT to click on these pop-ups, because that's how the virus spreads.

Advertisers, the only way to get your ads onto this web site (without being sued!) is to PAY US for ads. Which may not appear in pop-up form, because we agree that pop-up ads are annoying. All that lovely white space on either side of this article can and should be displaying ads related to words in the text, and if you pay for them we'll even provide articles with words related directly to what you're advertising...but if an ad appears on this page in any form other than an advertorial "Posted by PK" (which may be written by you), the Amazon sidebar ad, or a Google AdSense ad in the Google AdSense box that should be appearing below each post, WE ARE BEING ROBBED.

We've contacted Google about this, and we will be contacting any advertisers for whom ads pop up on the screen. Text is not supposed to be "enhanced" here without fair payment to us. Any "enhancements" you see, until you've seen an announcement here about our receiving fair payment from a legitimate sponsor, are FRAUDULENT. Please do not support these advertisers in any way. If the word "Chevy" is "enhanced," please notify your local Chevy dealer that you're in the market for a different car because the word "Chevy" is being used by scammers at this web site!

If Google doesn't take action to resolve the problem quickly, yes, this content may move elsewhere. Hello? If we wanted to be ripped off by corporations whose products we've never bought or endorsed, we'd still be at Yahoo. The point of Blogspot is supposed to be that writers control the ads we display!
