Phenology from Washington, D.C.: Cherry Blossoms

Washington's cherry trees are blooming right now. If you're planning a day trip to see the cherries hung with snow, you'd better pack fast. Although the Washington Post links the phenomenon with global warming theory, the Post also acknowledges that this has been only "one of the warmest" winters on record.
