Untimely Deaths of Andrew Breitbart and David Moore

Some are saying, "Death at 43 is not from natural causes." I'm not so sure. Andrew Breitbart looked, and probably physically was, older than 43.

It's ironic, though, and sort of creepy, that this story was on my e-mail wallpaper as I logged in to check the funeral announcement for Tea Party e-friend David Moore of Tazewell, Virginia. LTC Moore had just celebrated his 48th birthday and was the father of two sons.

Is there a conspiracy afoot, as some Yahoo comments suggest? Are more opponents of Obamacare likely to die this year? Before reaching age 50? Watch this space...I'm 47. And be sure to support this blog so that I'll eat regularly.

But seriously, folks: Dave Moore, a Green Beret, had had cancer before he died and had expressed wishes that his conservative political work would be carried on in his memory. That's what most of us can do, whether in his memory or in that of Andrew Breitbart (whose friends remember him as less of a passionate right-winger than of a man who loved intense, but fair and uncensored, debate).

Here's a collection of conservative writers' tributes to Breitbart. Nobody at this site knew him, but after reading what Beck, Malkin, Drudge, Palin, Goldberg, et al., have to say about him, I wish I had known him. Ironically, considering that he was known as a conservative writer, in the sense in which this web site uses the word Breitbart seems also to have been a True Liberal...remember, in a true human being liberalism and conservatism must combine.

Let their good work go on.
