How to Meet a Republican Candidate

Would anybody out there like to shake hands with Rick Santorum? Allen West? Sarah Palin? They've all promised to attend one convention, and for just $195 (for the weekend; military and student discounts) plus transportation to Washington, you can meet all three of them and more. Just click here...

Personally, I have some reservations about any web page that describes Newt Gingrich as "honorable." And the page took a long time to load and slowed my e-mail, so be warned.

However, if you want to spend a weekend with well-known Republicans, this is the place to do it. Mitt Romney's promised to be there. Jim Jordan. Scott Walker. Marco Rubio. Like conservative online news? There's a recent tweet promising that Andrew Breitbart will be there, too. The list is growing.

On the down side: The second weekend in February is not generally considered the best time to visit Washington. On the up side: Although the February thaw is usually expected around the third weekend in February, some years it does arrive on the second weekend. If you can squeeze in time for sightseeing, you might not even need to wear a trench coat.

And although I've promised not to make life easier for the international scam artists of this world by sending out e-mails requesting money...the Fundly update that also came in this morning's e-mail shows that youall aren't supporting Fundly very well. As of this moment, youall could send me to the sold-out Reagan Dinner with all the most popular speakers by donating just $105 at this link: http://fundly.com/user/priscillaking

Somebody will probably dig up more than $105, on behalf of some Tea Partier who can enjoy Marriott food, before February 10. If, however, anybody out there wants to take one contributor to this blog to Washington, feel free to support my Fundly today. (Please note that, although Priscilla King and Gena Greene are registered as Independent, Grandma Bonnie Peters is a real Republican...I see nothing in the contest rules that would prevent one of her fans from sending her to the Reagan Dinner.)
