Does Virginia Need a Housing Authority? HB121

Delegate Morrissey thinks it's difficult for people to find "safe, decent, affordable" housing in Virginia. Here's his proposed remedy:

I've not checked which district Delegate Morrissey represents. Not mine. I will admit there are parts of Virginia where I've not spent much time. However, in the parts of Virginia I've seen, there's plenty of housing that is decent and could be made safer and more affordable, if government would get out of the way. Keeping taxes low, and not enacting regulations that interfere with the repair or improvement people need to make in their own homes, would do more good than building more dismal little "low-income housing" projects.

Remember, it's always Greener to restore or upgrade an existing house than it is to break new ground and build one. It's also more cost-effective to downsize government programs, and let people solve their own problems, than it is to add government programs that then create problems of their own.
