Daft Marketing in England

Madhouse brand jeans? Doesn't the name say it all? So, print a really annoying care label, sew it into the jeans, get instant worldwide attention, and blame it on the inmates. What'd you expect buying jeans from the Madhouse?

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/sexist-jeans-wait-until-you-see-the-label/

I'm sharing this mainly in order to gloat, offensively, over some allegedly female Blaze readers who've posted comments to the effect that they think laundry is a "woman's job." My husband did laundry, and did it well. Not because he hadn't had a doting mother, but because as an independent youth he'd moved out and learned to take care of himself...in order to impress women, which it did. We used to race through the drying process, him trying to get everything out on the line to save a few kilowatts and me trying to get the colors into the dryer before they faded.

The things women miss by marrying too young...

This site predicts: Madhouse will remove the jeans with the obnoxious tags from the market. Those jeans will become collectors' items. Look-alike jeans will then sell because, after all, the tags don't show, and guys trying to attract fashion-conscious girls will have a prefabricated pickup line. What fun for British twenty-somethings.

American Blaze readers are wasting their opportunity, though. Can't we all say that we'd rather be seen with men whose jeans are Made in the U.S.A.?
