Early Tornado: Global Warming, Local Warming, or Mild Winter?

Recently this web site reminded everyone that the mild winter the U.S. has had does not prove global warming: (a) it wasn't global, and (b) it's not over. However, scientists who accept global warming theory don't seem to have noticed these details:

Contrary to what some people (who stand to profit by exploiting global warming theory) are trying to tell us, this is not the first year when my part of the world has seen azaleas, forsythia, and ornamental cherry trees, as well as crocuses, dandelions, and daffodils, blooming in the first week of March. If all those pretty flowers aren't demolished by frost or hail later in the month, now that will be real weather news...but it will still be local weather news and not (yet) proof of global warming.
