Stand with Rand: Get the U.S. out of the U.N.

Remember U.S. House Resolution 75? This web site discussed it last month; we think it will be mostly symbolic, but it could be a very valuable symbol. (In other words, we suspect that the U.N. would get over itself if threatened with the loss of U.S. support.) We hadn't heard much more about it until recently, when Karen Bracken notified us that, apparently in response to yet another despicable U.N. power grab, Senator Rand Paul is now backing HR 75:

"Well the UN Small Arms Treaty is looming out there once again. No matter what lies Obama tells the American people this Treaty will disarm every American citizen and much more. It will totally disarm our country. The UN will officially become the Global Police.
It is time we took a firm stand against the UN. If more Senate seats are lost to the Democrats in 2014 election (and believe me Obama is making sure that happens) they will pass every Treaty that is sitting on the shelf. The remaining Treaties if ratified will be the formal end to this country and to our parental rights. We must get out of the UN.
Currently there is a bill in the legislature, by a true constitutional conservative Rep. Paul Broun from GA, to withdraw the US from the UN. He is running for Senate in 2014 (we must reach across state lines and make sure he wins) The bill HR75. I have sent many requests for people to utilize POPVOX.com to show support for this bill.
Now we have Senator Rand Paul taking a stand to get the US out of the UN. With his recent popularity I think we need to strike while the iron is hot!
I am declaring April GET THE US OUT OF THE UN month. I would like you to get as many people as possible to participate. Each person sends 10 post cards to RAND PAUL with one simple message. GET THE US OUT OF THE UN NOW!!!
I think if we can get enough cards to one person (I am sure he will let the public know about the barrage of cards he is getting) it will send a message. They are saying that 8 out of 10 people want the US to remain in the UN. I think that is a lie. I think 8 out of 10 people feel just the opposite. TWEET this campaign, FB this campaign. We are talking 10 post cards at 34 cents each and 10 stamps per person. If all you can afford is 1 post card then 1 post card is better than none. Get as many as you can afford. You can send the Gadsden cards from Agenda 21 Today or just get white cards from the Post Office. If anyone plans a big "post card" writing event for their group please send me the details and some pictures. I will share with our national team.
Here is Rand Paul's address:

For those who don't already know:

1. Www.americadontforget.com is one of the oldest, biggest, and best constitutional-conservative web sites. It's based in Tennessee and has members nationwide. It has a "store" page where you can see and buy the Gadsden postcards.

2. By going to Popvox.com, you can browse around and look for other pieces of legislation that may be of interest to you. Here's a specific page for HR 75: https://www.popvox.com/bills/us/113/hr75. You'll be asked to log in (e-mail address, a password other than the one you use to open the e-mail) and can see other people's comments along with your own if you check back in. HR 75 is getting lots of support from Popvox users and is gaining support in Congress.

3. Your members of Congress need a barrage of postcards, too. As a former and likely future presidential candidate, Rand Paul is keeping track of responses from across the nation, but your U.S. Representative and Senators are the ones you need to convince that this is a viable, voter-approved idea.
