Book Alert: Poverty and Progress

At home I'm ploughing through Al Gore's recent book, The Future. It's not exactly entertaining but it's worth reading. I have a feeling that Deepak Lal is equally well qualified to write about some of the topics the former Vice-President discusses (both men have impressive resumes, and Lal has spent more time in the international development field). I think I'd like to read Lal's book, Poverty and Progress, immediately before or after The Future--although it's unlikely that that will happen...

If you click on that one huge messy-looking link, or paste it into your browser, you should be able to view information about the book and buy it.
