Shelby Griffin is on academic probation at the police academy when someone starts killing her favorite classmates. Since this short murder mystery is another "prequel" to Griffin's adventures as a police detective, we know she'll squeak through the academics and be hired because she solved the murder. More than that I can't say.
It's a short story and gets a short review, but I think people who like murder mysteries will enjoy solving more of them with Shelby Griffin.
